John has more than 10 years of professional experience in the environmental consulting industry, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, Phase III/Delineation Investigations, Underground Storage Tank (UST) Removal Assessments, and remediation projects. John will be based out of the New Haven, Connecticut area working as an ESA Assessor.
Chelsea Curl | GIT, Project Manager
Chelsea has over six years of professional experience in the environmental consulting industry, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II Subsurface Investigations, Wetland Delineations, and Geotechnical Soil Evaluations. She has performed ESAs throughout the southeastern United States. Chelsea is based out of the Atlanta, Georgia area.
Tarek Halawani | PE, Project Manager
Tarek brings over twenty years of professional experience as a Senior Engineer in project and construction management, site and building analysis, quality assurance/quality control reviews, constructability reviews, value management, project design, and construction. Tarek has held instrumental roles in managing capital improvement programs, planning and executing capital growth portfolios, assessing property conditions, and needs and potential return on investment for specific proposed uses.
Taylor Russell | Industrial Hygiene Technician
Taylor is starting his career with Nova after graduating from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management. Taylor is located out of Oak Grove, Missouri and will be working in the Missouri and Kansas area.
Brett Alwin | Associate Project Manager
Brett is a graduate from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. He has joined Nova as an Associate Project Manager and is based out of Nova headquarters in Chaska, MN.
Laura Botzong | Project Manager
Laura has five years of professional experience in the environmental consulting industry, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and other related services. She is based out of Los Angeles, California.
Chris Kessler | Senior Project Manager
Chris has over seven years of experience as a BPI-certified energy auditor with a diverse background in weatherization, HVAC design, solar PV design, and energy modeling. His work includes the Department of Energy Weatherization Assistance Program and General Manager of Rook Energy, a home performance company in southern Maine focusing on building performance at single and multi-family residential properties, small commercial properties, and religious institutions. Chris will be working out of the Portland, Maine office as part of Strategic Energy Group.
Mitchell Seidel | Environmental Specialist
Mitch joined Nova as an Environmental Specialist in the Hazardous Materials Group located at Nova headquarters in Chaska, Minnesota. He is beginning his career after earning degrees from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities in Environmental Science and Spanish Studies. Mitch has limited experience assisting in the completion of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and has gained experience overseeing asbestos abatement projects in accordance with all state and federal regulations.
Dave Dixon | RRC, RRO, CCCA, CCPR, National Account Manager
David is a National Account Manager as a part of the Equity Group, working out of the Kansas City metro area. He has over 25 years of experience in building enclose with an emphasis in roofing. Dave went to Purdue University in West Lafayette and Indianapolis and obtained a BS in Construction Technology.
Elise Steger | Senior Project Manager
Elise has over 22 years of experience working in the consulting and private industry with over 12 years of experience in landfill operations. She has been involved in investigations and cleanup as well as the development and implementation of permits and plans. She will be using her background in both remediation and compliance to support both the Environmental Assessment Group and Environmental Compliance Group at Nova’s headquarters in Chaska.
