Recent Employee Promotions
We are pleased to announce that Caroline has accepted the role of Marketing Coordinator/Content Manager. Caroline has spent the past three years at Nova working alongside our professional associate coordinators, accounting department, and sales team. In her new role, she will maintain our client list; keep an active list of conferences, trade shows, and sponsorships, including registering, coordinating, and ordering all marketing materials; and assist in planning major events. She will oversee regular communication through our social media platforms and be an integral part in developing and maintaining Nova’s blog, newsletter, and website. Caroline graduated from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Mass Communications, and is based out of our headquarters in Chaska, Minnesota.
Joe has recently been promoted to Senior Project Manager, joining Nova’s Construction Services Group (CSG). Joe has over 22 years of experience in the engineering consulting, design, project management, construction loan management, and real estate industries. Over the past several years, he has provided engineering services related to ownership transfer and refinancing to fiduciary institutions, as well as construction loan management to private debt lenders. He is currently responsible for report writing, project management, conducting construction loan management reviews, and interfacing with clients for the Construction Services Group. In his new role, Joe will be responsible for servicing several bridge lenders and regional bank clients based in the New York Metro market.
New To The Nova Team
Alyssa graduated from the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Society, and the Environment. She started at Nova as an Administrative Assistant but has transitioned into the role of Associate Project Manager and is based out of Nova headquarters in Chaska, Minnesota.
Joe has over 30 years of professional architectural experience, including forensic inspections and working knowledge in all aspects of Property Condition Assessments. Joe has utilized his architectural expertise for related technical investigations, analyses, and reports toward the resolution of property and personal injury claims. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree and is a Licensed Architect in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Texas.
Eric has more than 10 years of environmental and engineering consulting experience with progressing responsibilities in environmental project management, engineering and construction management, solid waste management, regulatory compliance reporting, environmental analysis and data management, site assessment, corrective action investigation, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), wellhead protection plans, and environmental and engineering testing.
Nick has one year of experience as a land surveyor and has two and a half years of field experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D. He has experience creating Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), as well as in designing and engineering sanitation and stormwater plans and designing roadways. Nick produces profile views, plan views, cross sections, and many other types of drawings and figures in AutoCAD Civil 3D. He has assisted in testing drinking water wells, private water wells, gas vents, deep vents, and deep horizontal vents. Nick is based out of the St. Paul, Minnesota, ECAD office.

Terry Kaiser | PE, PG, Certified Groundwater Professional (CGWP), Certified SWPPP Designer, Account Manager | ECAD
Terry founded ECAD Engineering in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1996. In July 2017, Nova’s owner acquired ECAD. Terry now acts as the Account Manager of Nova’s ECAD Group in St. Paul. He is a pioneer in landfill engineering and groundwater development projects dating back to the 1980s, when he was an intern from the University of Minnesota sampling groundwater and testing construction materials. He acquired extensive experience as a geo-engineer in the 1990s, designing landfill liners to meet new federal standards and writing applications for state permits. He continues to serve clients with solid waste, storm water, and groundwater management needs, while working to develop new clients for Nova in water and waste management service areas.
Carrie graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from the University of Kansas. Since then, Carrie has worked in environmental consulting and environmental law. She has over 13 years of professional experience in the environmental consulting industry, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and other related services. Carrie will be working out of Overland Park, Kansas, as part of the CMG Group.
Edward is a National Account Manager focusing on building sciences practice as part of Nova’s Equity Group. He is a Licensed Architect in the states of Georgia, Florida, and Colorado, and has over 15 years of professional experience in commercial construction and the building science consulting industry, including Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx), existing building rehabilitation, field performance testing, and construction administration. He has worked on all varieties and scales of projects throughout the United States, and even some in the Caribbean. Edward is based out of the Atlanta, Georgia, area.
Caitlin comes to Nova with a background in consulting, training, and project management. She will be working predominately with our associate team. She has joined Nova as a Project Manager and is based out of Nova headquarters in Chaska, Minnesota.
